Leeds appear to have been handed some good news on the personnel front ahead of their meeting with Brentford this weekend.

Leeds vs Brentford

Leeds will play host to Brentford in one of several Premier League clashes taking place on Sunday.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men head into the encounter having finally put together a somewhat decent run of form.

The Peacocks have spent much of the campaign in and around the relegation zone of the Premier League. However, after winning two, drawing two and losing one of their last five, Leeds have been able to move up to 15th in the table and five points above 18th place.

And, whilst Leeds have slowly begun to find form, their upcoming opponents, Brentford, have done quite the opposite.

The Bees had a superb start to life in the PL, which looked set to see them have a similar to season to the one Leeds had last campaign when they first gained promotion.

However, Thomas Frank’s side have now won just one of their last five and have slipped down to 12th in the league, just one point above Leeds.

Leeds handed double boost?

Ahead of facing Brentford, Marcelo Bielsa would speak to the press on Friday.

When doing so, the Argentine delivered a positive update on Leeds pair Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling.

The duo have been sidelined for some time now, with Bamford’s goals clearly a big miss in a Leeds team who have scored just 13 in 14 league matches this term.

Now though, both Bamford and Ayling are ‘likely’ to be available on Sunday:
