Watford vs Manchester City

Manchester City’s next outing will see them travel to Watford for a Premier League meeting on Saturday evening.

Manchester City will kick off at Vicarage Road having won their last four league ties and with one eye on overtaking Chelsea – who are facing West Ham in the day’s early kick-off – atop of the Premier League.

Manchester City are just one point off Chelsea at present, meaning a win against Watford could see them take top spot from Thomas Tuchel and co.

And, judging by City’s record against the Hornets, a win does appear to be all but guaranteed.

Manchester City have not lost against Watford since all the way back in 1989 and, they have not drawn with them for 14 years.

Since then, the Sky Blues have won 13 games on the bounce and, in their last three meetings, have beaten Watford by an aggregate scoreline of 18-0.

Pep Guardiola on Man City team news

Before playing out what looks to be a nailed-on victory for Man City, Pep Guardiola spoke to the press on Friday.

When doing so, the Spaniard provided a team news update on his side.

And for the most part it is good news as, barring Ferran Torres, everyone is ok to travel to London:

“Except Ferran Torres, all are ready to travel to London.”

Guardiola also spoke about Man City having so many different goalscorers this term:

“Only secret is to do it as a team, everyone is involved and has permission to get to the ball. I never said don’t score a goal, they have the feeling to go and try.”
