Everton vs Arsenal
The final Premier League clash of gameweek 15 will see Everton play host to Arsenal at Goodison Park.
The game does look set to be a must-win clash for Everton and, in particular, Rafa Benitez.
Everton had a fine start to the campaign, but have since dipped off massively. The Toffees have lost four and drawn one of their last five PL games and have now slipped down to 14th.
Should this poor form continue, Everton, who are only five points above 18th, risk being sucked into a relegation battle.
And, after a 4-1 hammering at the hands of Liverpool in the Merseyside derby, you would assume another loss or two in a row could prove fatal for Rafa Benitez’s short Everton career.
Arsenal, though, are expected to be a tough nut to crack in gameweek 15.
The Gunners’ record against the top sides this term has been woeful. But, barring that 2-0 loss at the hands of Brentford on the opening weekend, Arsenal have not lost to a none ‘top-six’ side this campaign.
Rafa Benitez delivers concerning Calvert-Lewin update
Ahead of the Arsenal game, Rafa Benitez would hold his pre-match press conference on Friday.
When doing so, the Spaniard would provide an injury update on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
If there is one man who can turn the Merseysider’s season around, it is their top-scorer from 2020/21.
But, when speaking on Friday, Rafa confirmed that it would be at least a couple of weeks before Calvert-Lewin can return. The Spaniard also provided updates on Yerry Mina, Salomon Rondon and Tom Davies:
“Yerry Mina has done part of training session so we will see in next couple of days. We have to wait on scan for Rondon. We are missing Dominic and Tom Davies. Still a couple of weeks minimum”
