Reports stemming from France suggest that Tottenham have been offered a chance to sign a PSG star in the upcoming transfer window.
Tottenham offered chance to sign Icardi
That player is believed to be Mauro Icardi. Icardi joined PSG from Inter Milan on an initial loan in September of 2019 before then permanently signing in 2020 for a fee believed to be £45m.
However, since he moved to Paris, Icardi has often had to play second fiddle to some other megastars.
Kylian Mbappe and Neymar have, of course, taken centre stage at PSG over the last several years, whilst Lionel Messi’s arrival has also added more competition for places for Icardi.
Despite currently being used as a squad player, Icardi has maintained a respectable goal return for the French giants. In 77 games he has scored 36 goals and provided 10 assists for PSG.
Now though, Sport Witness citing French outlet Foot Mercato are reporting that:
Mauro Icardi is looking to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the winter window and has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur
It is added that PSG are looking to cut ties with seven players in January, with Icardi one of them.

Should Tottenham sign Icardi?
But should Tottenham sign Icardi? Well, that is likely to depend on two main factors.
Firstly, to accommodate Icardi properly, Spurs would likely need to change their 3-4-3 to a 3-5-2. Antonio Conte won the Serie A with that formation, so it is just a question of whether he feels this Tottenham side can play well in said system.
And secondly, if Tottenham stick with their one-striker 3-4-3 system, Tottenham would probably have to sell Harry Kane to fit Icardi in, as Kane plays virtually every game he can for Spurs, which would leave the Argentine with little to no minutes.
