Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered to PSG as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, according to reports stemming from Spain.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United stint

Cristiano Ronaldo would, of course, re-sign for Manchester United this past summer.

There was, in part due to Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane also joining the club, a lot of expectation on Ronaldo to help guide United back to the glory days.

However, that has, so far, not come close to happening. But whilst United as a squad has had a pretty poor start to 2021/22, Ronaldo himself has continued to thrive.

In 11 Premier League outings to date, Ronaldo has scored six and assisted two for the Red Devils this campaign.

It is in the Champions League, however, where CR7 has truly shone. Ronaldo has scored six in five – earning United crucial points against Villarreal and Atalanta.

Ronaldo to PSG?

Now though, Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford beyond the current season looks to have been called into question.

Ralf Rangnick, famous for his pressing football, recently became Manchester United manager. As a result, there has been some concern about Ronaldo’s future at United under the club’s new boss, given that the Portuguese is not typically known for his pressing/defensive work.

And now, as per the Mirror citing reports in Spain, Ronaldo has been offered to PSG as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe:

El Nacional reports that Jorge Mendes is already one step ahead, having offered his client to Paris Saint-Germain to replace Kylian Mbappe, who is reportedly set to join Real Madrid next summer.

Ronaldo’s current deal with United runs until 2023 and is said to have the option of an extra year. Would Manchester United risk fan backlash by selling one of the club’s most iconic players?
